If chicks dig the long ball then they are bound to go crazy today as sluggers get ready for the 2012 Home Run Derby.
Guys, you can get excited too. It's okay. We have all imagined hitting the longest homer in baseball history at some point in our childhood.
On Monday night, Robinson Cano will attempt to repeat as the Home Run King. In 2011, he defeated Boston Red Sox slugger, Adrian Gonzalez.
This year, he finds himself playing alongside and competing against the team he put together.
Mark Trumbo, who hit 22 homers, Jose Bautista, who leads the Majors with 27 and Prince Fielder, who has 15, will represent the American League in the derby.
Matt Kemp, who has 12 home runs all of which came in the month of April, will be joined by three first-timers in the National League.
Carlos Beltran has hit 20 homers, Carlos Gonzalez has hit 17 and last minute invite, Andrew McCutchen has hit 18 in 2012.
The bad news for Cano is that no Home Run Derby champion has gone back-to-back since Ken Griffey Jr. did in 1998 and 1999.
The derby begins at 8 p.m. and will take place from Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.
