Pokemon Go Beta Invites Gamers For US Field Test

Pokemon Go beta test has been going on trials of the new mobile game in different parts of the world for the past few months and now, they are ready for a field test in the United States and interested gamers are invited to sign up.

In order to sign up for the test on the developer Niantic's website, one needs to provide a Gmail address or Google account and should have an iOS or Android device. If you have played Ingress, an augmented reality game from Niantic, you can share your name and level you used for it, Game Spot reported.

But not everyone who registers will get access because the developer will be choosing those who are qualified for the field test. Once a user gets in, he is asked not to share any of the content "[t]o have an element of surprise for our users at public launch." But despite that request of the developer, videos of the beta test has leaked online in other countries.

"Because the game involves numerous people playing in multiple countries at the same time, we have a lot to test before we publicly launch," Niantic said on its website. "This is why we are asking for your help. We would love for you to--if selected--download the field test version and play it. Your regular gameplay and feedback will help us iterate, polish, and make the game launch-ready."

It also added that the app has limited features because it is still in active development and there are things that might not work properly. They are asking for the field testers to understand such circumstance and is hoping that they will work with them "to make the Pokemon Go game experience truly phenomenal."

To recall, a gameplay footage of the game leaked online and Niantic shared more details about the game saying that one's phone will vibrate when there is a Pokemon nearby and the gamer needs to catch them by throwing a Poke ball at the Pokemon using the phone's touch-based controls.

Poke Balls and other special items are available at PokeStops in public art installations, historical markers, and monuments.

No news about the end dates of test was revealed as well as the actual release date of the full game but reports reveal that it would be in 2016.
