Invictus 2016: Prince Harry Takes A Break In Florida

Following a successful Invictus Games, Prince Harry spent his remaining time relaxing in Florida before returning to London. The Prince went for a walk with his entourage, near his hotel in Orlando, Florida, after five days of overseeing the tournament, Mail Online reported.

The 31-year-old royal was spotted wearing a white t-shirt and sunglasses as he strolled under the sun. The Prince apparently deserved some break after the Paralympic-style games that have gained the support of George W Bush and Michelle Obama.

The Invictus Games is Harry's passion project wherein injured veterans and military from across the globe participate in a five-day competition with some entertainment and inspiring stories from the participants.

"This has never been about the medals. This is about sharing experiences and literally watching lives change in front of you. We're the lucky ones to have witnessed it together," Harry said, saluting the spirit of the participants, People reported. "This is coming back from rock bottom. This is not a soft story. Far from it. This is a story of Invictus spirit."

The Games kicked off on Sunday night with more than 400 athletes from 14 different countries. It was held two years after the inaugural competition in London.

One memorable moment of the games are when US Army Sergeant Elizabeth Marks requested the Prince to take her gold medal that she won during the swimming competition to Cambridge's Papworth Hospital which saved her life prior to the London Invictus Games.

As Harry delivered his closing remarks for the event, he also expressed his gratitude to the spectators who were there to make memories with the participants.

"You are all Invictus. You are now ambassadors for the spirit of these games. Spread the word. Never stop fighting. And do all you can to lift up everyone around you," Harry said, celebrating the achievements of the veterans who were present during the event.
