W Hotel In Bali Lets You Record An Album While Travelling

W Hotels Worldwide recently announced the opening of its new recording studio at W Bali – Seminyak Hotel, which is a perfect place for travelling music enthusiasts allowing them to record and make music even when they are away from home.

The hotel features the W Sound Suite which is a private studio and a writer’s room intended for professional recording artists, producers, studio musicians, and hotel guests. The studio overlooks to a tropical garden which can be very inspiring. Hotel guests can book said suite and also avail of a private master class from music curator Damian Saint.

“W has a long history of musicians staying, playing, and celebrating at our hotels,” Anthony Ingham, W Hotels’ global brand leader said according to Travel Daily Media. “We know that inspiration can strike at any moment, so the W Sound Suite is today’s tech-savvy version of scribbling lyrics on a cocktail napkin. Bali, a vibrant and creative hub often called ‘the alternative Ibiza’, is the perfect setting for our first music studio.”

The sound-proof studio with a large lounge and a private vocal booth was launched in partnership with Coca-Cola and is the brainchild of W brand’s North American music director, DJ White Shadow, who has worked with Lady Gaga. He helped the hotel to choose the best sound equipment as well as the studio layout.

“While traveling around the globe making music for the last decade, I’ve run into many challenges including costly studio rentals, the risk of disturbing other guests, and not being able to find a suitable place to listen to or create music,” DJ White Shadow said, according to Lonely Planet. “We dreamed up an environment for musicians to create that is convenient, stylish and functional”.

Apart from Bali, the company will also install Sound Suites at their hotels in Hollywood, Barcelona and Seattle later this year. Also part of their plans is a three-day music festival at W Scottsdale hotel in Arizona which is set in the fall, NY Times reported.
