Private transportation start-up JetSmarter, which is an Uber version for jets, is giving opportunities for its users to get a chance to fly with their favorite celebrities.
It offers three types of services which includes the JetCharter that "allows members to charter a whole aircraft and tailor their entire trip," the JetDeals which offer exclusive one-way private jet flights that are free for members and the JetShuttle service allows members to book and search for flights, Haute Living wrote.
One of the newest features of the app is to notify its users when celebrities will be on a certain flight so they can take that ride with them. Their clients include Tom Cruise, Jay Z and possibly even Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West.
"Passengers and celebs will get a lot of networking value," JetSmarter Founder and CEO, Sergey Petrossov said according to CNBC. "Friendships and business relationships are created daily between our passengers."
JetSmarter, which tries to make jet rides more affordable, aims to allow ordinary citizens to get a private jet ride. Its members pay $9,000 annually to give them access to unlimited free deals for one-way flights that are offered exclusively through the app. Members and subscribers who fly often can even save money through its deals.
Subscribers will be notified when a celebrity will get a flight and they are also invited to book said flight as well. Recently, actors Jamie Foxx, Emily Ratajkowski, entrepreneur Daymon John had private flights with them.
Real estate attorney Ed Mermelstein, who has used the app for several months was able to share a jet with Foxx on his way to Atlanta from White Plains.
"He was great, and very personable, talking with passengers throughout the flight," Mermelstein said about his experience. "You never know who you will meet, and I now look forward to flying."
