US Airlines Satisfaction Increased For 4 Straight Years

On Wednesday, the J.D Power and Associates 2016 North America Airline Satisfaction Study, unleashed a statement that a number of travelers are actually enjoying their air travel experiences. And the study evaluates that fliers are more satisfied than last year.

CNN reported that the North American airlines fliers' satisfaction increased for a fourth straight year, that claimed a record high of 726 points on a scale of 1,000. The result increased nine points compared last year.

The rank of the airlines is based on costs and fees; in-flight services; boarding, deplaning and baggage; flight crew; aircraft; check-in; and also reservations.

An email sent by Rick Garlick, J.D. Power's global travel and hospitality practice lead, stated, "Costs and fees still matter. But, experience matters, too."

Garlick also stated in the email that, "JetBlue airline company won its 12th straight award not just because it offers 'low cost,' but also because of the excellent service culture the airline promotes. Southwest airlines are always doing well for the same reason. These airlines know their customers and design a specific offering to appeal to their needs."

However, according to FOX News, the government has been forced by U.S. airlines to deal with the intolerably long security lines at the nation's airports. U.S. airlines also formally asked the passengers for help by sharing on social media their thoughts regarding the long security lines.

At some airports, passengers were in line for about 90 minutes during peak hours. The airlines even gave the passengers a notice to make their arrival at the airport two hours in advance - which the long line scenario at the airport will get worse during summer time.

But, the Transportation Security Administration made it known that they are increasing their staffs at security checkpoints and raised the number of bomb-sniffing dogs to help the passenger lines move more quickly.
