As a visitor to a country, you must observe all rules and regulations to show your respect. This is true when you dine with the people too. Don't let your eating experience in China be awkward. Learn what to do when you are invited to a meal.

Introduce yourself

If you are a guest, you must introduce yourself to the others. If you the master of the banquet is the one who invited you, wait for him to introduce you to others.

Observe the seating arrangement

The seating arrangement is important for the Chinese. Politely ask where your seat is and go to that area. Do not sit down first.

Let older people eat first
