Second to man's greatest desire, first being women, is definitely food.
Men feel good when they are in a relationship, but nothing can compare to the rare opportunity of being able to eat a meal cooked by their girl lovers. Heck, some men may even fall for women who know how to please their tastes. As the saying goes 'the only way to a man's heart is through his stomach.'
The following list of dishes is based on a survey conducted by My Navi Women on 114 men aging 22 to 39. These are the top most desired meals that Japanese men would find romantic if their girlfriends cooked for them.
Top 5 Miso Soup (25.4 percent) -- Despite the fact that miso soup is served in every restaurant nearby, Japanese men would still want this healthy meal from their partners since it is cooked differently. In fact, the line 'I want to have your miso soup' is considered a traditional subtle manner of saying 'will you marry me?'
Top 4 Rice Omelet (28.9 percent) -- Men would love a serving of rice mixed with chicken and mushroom from their loved ones. What makes it romantic is if the girlfriend draw a heart using the ketchup to add savor to the look and taste.
Top 3 Nikujaga (29.8 percent) -- This is a dish of stewed pork and a mixture of vegetables such as potatoes, carrots and onions. Its name literally translates to 'meat and potatoes' and romantically symbolizes how 'man and woman' go well together.
Top 2 Hamburger Steak (32.5 percent) -- Men are meat lovers and no other dishes promise a combination of beef and pork than the hamburger steak. This is because most ground beef available in nearby grocery stores in Japan is a mixture of beef and pork.
Top 1 Curry (41.2 percent) -- Like the Miso Soup, every household offers a unique tasting curry and rice serving. Nothing says 'I love you just the way you are' than tasting of the lady's own unique curry.
