Rumor has it that Adele is pregnant.
Actually, it was confirmed by the singer herself on her website.
The 24-year old Grammy winning singer revealed that she and her boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting a baby. On Friday, she wrote "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together."
"I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time."
Adele met Konecki, 36 in the summer of 2011 in the U.K. She kept the relationship relatively secret, but addressed it in January 2012. In February, he was her guest at the Grammy Awards, where the singer took home all six of the awards that she was nominated for, People Magazine reported.
The news is very exciting for the singer, who has said that she wanted a child. In March, a source told the Daily Star "[Adele] told Simon how broody she's been feeling. The pair have spoken about children and it's something they both very much want in the future. Simon already has a five-year-old daughter from his previous marriage with Clary, who Adele has met and absolutely adores."
However, Adele has been quoted as saying that she wanted to wait until she was at least 30 and has five albums before even thinking about having a family. She has quickly adapted to the change of plans.
The Daily Star source said "But now they have their big pad in the country with ample bedrooms, she's keen to fill it with babies." Adele reportedly has a list of possible baby names already picked out.
Perhaps Adele's future songs will be more about love and motherhood rather than bitter breakup ballads, but they'll most likely be Grammy-worthy.
