Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reportedly split, putting an end to their five year marriage.
People Magazine reports that the Hollywood couple is getting a divorce.
"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," Holmes's attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
Cruise,49, and Holmes, 33, were married in November of 2006 at a wedding of 150 guests at a castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy.
In April of 2006, Holmes gave birth to their daughter, Suri, 6, in Los Angeles.
TMZ reports that the celebrity couple may have a prenup and their net worth is around $275 million, most of which was earned by Cruise.
Cruise has been filming a movie called "Oblivion" in Iceland, which Holmes was spotted on the streets of New York City, still wearing her wedding ring earlier this week, TMZ reports.
Holmes did not attend Cruise's recent Rock of Ages movies premieres. The couple last made a public appearance in February, TMZ said.
This is the Rock of Ages and Mission Impossible star's third divorce. His last marriage was with Nicole Kidman. The couple had two children and got divorced in February 2001. Cruise was also married to actress and professional poker player Mimi Rogers. Their marriage ended in 1990.
This was Holmes' first marriage.
