Explore Seattle With a 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Hotel Package

The racy, erotic novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey" and its sequels have been on best seller lists for weeks and are flying off of book shelves across the country. Due to its popularity, the hotel industry is also getting in on the Fifty Shades action and several hotels are starting to offer packages that are based on the books.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James is a book about a young college student, Anastasia Steele, who meets a handsome billionaire with some dark secrets. Ana falls for the mysterious and alluring Christian Grey and the novel follows their complicated relationship and depicts several sexual scenes. To no surprise, women across the country are falling for Christian Grey as well as the books gain even more popularity.

Through several hotels, fans can now live out their own "Fifty Shades of Grey" experiences. The latest hotel to offer one of these book-themed packages is the Hotel Max in Seattle, Washington. Many scenes in the book take place within Seattle, so the hotel is letting guests explore the city with a Fifty Shades experience.

Guests can get in touch with their inner goddess with a two-night stay at Hotel Max as part of their Fifty Shades of Seattle package. Guests will stay in the Artist King room on the 8th floor of the hotel. The floor is decorated with a series of photos by Seattle photographer Amy Mullen, titled The Making of a Date. The larger-than-life photos set the mood for love for all those who stay on the 8th floor.

Then, just like Anastasia Steele, guests will be taken by a chauffeured, luxury town car to a helicopter port. For 30-minutes, guests will get their own "Charlie Tango" private helicopter ride with Seattle Helitours. The exciting ride will get your adrenaline pumping as you weave through the downtown skyline, fly past the Space Needle and soar above Lake Union, Lake Washington and the spectacular waterfront homes of the city's elite, getting a one-of-a-kind view of the city.

Once your blood is pumping, guests will get a chance to relax in their chauffeured towncar as it drives to the Puget Sound. Guests then embark on a private, four-hour sunset sail with Windworks Sailing. This part of the package is inspired by the Puget Sound sail taken by the books' main characters. While on the boat, guests will enjoy a romantic gourmet picnic from Kiss Café and share a bottle of Christian Grey's favorite champagne, Bollinger Grande Annee Rose 1999.

The package is a bit pricey, starting at $1669, plus tax, but with a helicopter ride, a chauffeured limo, accommodations, and a sailboat ride, the package may be well worth it. If you ever want to explore Seattle and you're a big fan of the books, this romantic package is a great way to enjoy both. However, act quickly as this package is only being offered through the summer until September 30. Guests must book this package at least seven days in advance.
