Cruises are a wonderful way for families to travel. They go to several destinations, there's endless entertainment on board and in port, and it makes traveling easy. Another upside is that cruises offer great deals and the best kind of deal is a free cruise. Yes, free.
For a limited time, Norwegian Cruise Line has a deal in which kids under the age of 18 can sail for free. From now until July 7, travelers can book a fall cruise in which kids get to sail for free. There is a wide selection of cruises that people can take including cruises to Alaska, Bahamas & Florida, Bahamas 3 & 4 nights, Bermuda, Canada & New England, Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe,
Transatlantic and Repositioning cruises.
Now you might be wondering what the catch is to this offer, as they say nothing is ever free. In addition to the fall being an unfavorable time for kids to sail, kids only get to sail for free as long as they're sharing a cabin with two guests who are paying full fare. Also, while the cruise itself is free, government taxes and fees still apply to all third through eighth additional guests.
Most of the sailings are during September and October, but some Novemeber and December cruises are also available. The only downside to this time is that kids are back in school, so many can't take advantage of the offer.
If you can find the time to take advantage of this offer, Norwegian Cruise Lines is very kid-friendly. Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Jewel, and the Norwegian Gem are especially fun ships for kids. Their Freestyle cruising lets families enjoy their cruise while being casual. These cruises are also Nickelodeon themed, so kids can meet characters like SpongeBob and Dora the Explorer.
There are also kid camps on board these ships which provide activities for kids of different age ranges. Everyone can enjoy the grand-scale amenities of the ships like rock climbing walls, bowling alleys, gymnastics trampolines, on board water parks and more.
