'Harmony of the Seas' reveals the 'Ultimate Abyss' which is said to be the tallest slide at sea thus far.
'Harmony of the Seas' is one of the many largest Oasis-class passenger ship operated by the 'Royal Caribbean International', a cruise line brand which originated in Norway. For some reason, the international cruise liner failed to include the big slide in their previous announcement of the Perfect Storm slides last October.
The tallest slide features not one but a pair of monstrous twister tube that goes 10 decks below from the pool and sports deck down to the Broadwalk neighborhood. Guests will begin by overlooking the ocean through a see-through glass before sliding down 100 feet which elevates the thrill and builds tension. They will be then proceed to slide down riding a mat in order to reduce friction and since since the monster slide won't be a wet ride as previously speculated.
Royal Caribbean International added the promise of 'spontaneous audio effects within each tunnel create a multi-sensory thrill for daring guests willing to test their mettle while traversing 216 feet through the one-of-a-kind slide duo.'
The incredible slide is designed for thrill seekers of all ages but it's built for more mature audience since the drop will be a speedy ride hitting at 9 miles per hour. The sloping surface offers surprises with steep 45 degree angle in some divisions allowing for a more accelerating adventure. The twin slides twist artistically above the AquaTheater which makes guests feel as if they are performers in front of the theatre's audience. It's quite fascinating how guests would be able to recover their belongings from the pool after the sliding that far or if anyone would dare a second ride.
The Ultimate Abyss is definitely something the passengers should try if they want some adrenaline rush while aboard the luxurious cruise.
