Things got hotter than usual for singer Rihanna on Wednesday as a fire broke out in her London hotel.
The "Where Have You Been" singer was one of 300 people who were forced to evacuate the Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall Place after a hotel elevator shaft caught on fire.
Rihanna took to Twitter on Wednesday to post photos related to the incident. In one photo, she shows a fire engine outside of the hotel. In another, she shows a picture of herself wearing a hoodie and sunglasses in a car and says "roamin da streets since 6am."
The evacuation was just a precautionary measure. A hotel spokesperson the Global Grind that a service elevator burned out on the seventh floor of the hotel, leading to smoke and the fire alarms going off.
Firefighters were called to the scene and arrived around 6:22 a.m. Ten firefighters put out the small fire and conducted a safety check. Guests were later allowed to return to the hotel around 7 a.m. according to a hotel spokesperson.
No guests, including Rihanna were injured in the event, MTV UK reported.
Rihanna is in London for summer performances. On Sunday she performed at the Radio 1 Hackney Weekend concert. Next weekend, the 24-year-old singer will take the stage again for the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, London.
Her London trip hasn't been the smoothest so far. In addition to the fire, Rihann's bodyguard punched a photographer in the face after he got too close to the star on Sunday, TMZ reported.
Rihanna is no stranger to fire incidents. In July 2011, the singer's concert had to be cut short after a pyrotechnics display went awry and set parts of the stage on fire while she was singing "California King Bed." Concert-goers had to be evacuated from the American Airlines Center due to the issue, according to NBC.
