These days, dating is becoming more accessible than ever. With different dating apps all over the world, finding someone with the same interest as you is as easy as swiping right. There are apps for hook-ups and an app for serious relationships, how about an app for Disney fans?
Now those who love fairytales and dreaming of happily-ever-afters can log into MouseMingle and meet the Minnie Mouse to their Mickey Mouse.
According to the site, it's a place for people "who want that same magic in their relationship."
There is also no need to go near any Disney park as the website lets users browse for potential prince charmings in any part of the globe.
The website was created by Dave Tavres, a former Disneyland Railroad engineer who told Los Angeles Magazine that he's having a tough time finding women who love Disney as much as he does. "Niche dating sites are more common these days," he said. "There's a dating site for pot lovers and JDate for Jewish people. The first time I saw Farmers Only I thought it was a Saturday Night Live sketch."
The Walt Disney Company has been around since the 1920s, and millions have grown up watching the cartoons and movies and visiting the theme parks. Mouse Mingle is hoping to tap into the part of that population that sees Disney as a part of their identities, writing on its website that "traditional Internet dating sites don't understand the passion people have for all things Disney. But we do."
Signing up at this whole new world of dating is for free. You can build a profile which will include details such as your favorite Disney songs, shopping habits, and of course more Disney trivia. You can also check out the profiles of other members to see if they like Tangled more than Frozen but users who like to send another member a message will have to pay $12.55 a month.
