The southwestern state of Guerrero in Mexico encountered a tragic accident Sunday morning, where a tourist bus turned over on a wet road killing at least 32 people, Red Cross Official told Reuters.
Fatal bus accidents are not new in Mexico. Every year hundreds of fatal road accidents in different parts of Mexico are reported. A Mexican official told Reuters that, seven of the injured passengers are in a serious condition.
"In the area where it happened it's raining very hard," he said.
The official also said that most of the passengers travelling in the bus were wearing T-shirts with the logo of Mexico's Labor Party (PT). Emergency services have been reported and sent to the accident location which is about two and a half hour drive southwest of Mexico City. The Guerrero state police reportedly had no immediate comment.
Earlier in April, one of the worst accidents the country has suffered in recent times took place when a cargo truck crashed into a bus on a highway in the Gulf state of Veracruz.
