If you are in for some electric dance music festival, then you might want to visit Australia this month and experience two different events set on three consecutive weekends. Yes! That's three consecutive weekends of fun in summer.
Strawberry Fields
The smiles, the sunburn, the sounds, the sky and the clouds. The strangers, the friends, and the foreigners. The driving, the dancing, the laughing, and the falling over in the dark. The campsite envy, the forgetting of socks, the lack of ice and surplus of dirt. These are the things which will define the greatest weekend of your life. Welcome to the wild world of Strawberry Fields.
Strawberry Fields is an event held outside Melbourne, Australia. It is a three-day celebration of art, sound and creative expression. The artists invited every year hail from both inside and outside the Australia. Strawberry Fields does not focus only on providing music but also on bringing world-class décor, electric market stalls, workshops, forums, artistic installations, and live performance art together. Its goals are simple: provide a platform for young, local and upcoming talent, create a unique environment for showcasing art and music, and celebrate the wild Australian bush.
Strawberry Fields marks the beginning of summer in Australia. An estimate 150 local and international musicians and artists participate and showcase their work at the event. Here, guests are given the chance to camp out and enjoy the beauty of the bush.
The event happens on November 20-22.
Stereosonic
Another event happening in different places around Australia is Stereosonic. It was founded in 2007 and is considered to be one of Australia's most loved electronic music festivals. The event happens a weekend after the Strawberry Fields event. This year, the event runs from November 28-December 6 in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
This year's line-up of artists are Emma Hewitt, Generik, and What so Not, among others. In total, there are 41 artists who will liven up the stage this year.
