If you are visiting Singapore anytime soon or some time in the future and you would want to keep your running lifestyle active, then check out the following places where you can run, eat, and enjoy the wonders Singapore has to offer.
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio
With a land area of about 62 hectares, the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio is considered to be one of the bigger national parks in Singapore that is divided into two parts along Marymount Road. One can run a total of 5.08 kilometres around the park. If you decide to run this route, rest assured you will never get bored as you will see a lot of sights, including dogs playing and running around at the dog park, families and friends hanging out, and a gushing river. The place also has a number of great restaurants such as the GRUB Singapore and the Ang Mo Kio Central Market & Food Centre.
Serangoon
Make a round from Upper Serangoon, Boundary Road, Lorong Chuan and Bradell Road and then back to Upper Serangoon. This has a total of 5.1 kilometres, enough for an afternoon or early morning run. Then head to Nex and choose between several restaurants and eateries or head straight to Chomp Chomp Food Centre located at Lorong Chuan.
Gardens by the Bay
Taking this route will take you to Marina Bay Sands Resort, Gardens by the Bay, and more places in-between, including the Thian Hock Keng Temple, Telok Ayer Market, Raffles Quay, Marina Boulevard, The Promontory, and more. You can run a total distance of 10 kilometres here. For food, you can check out the Maxwell Food Centre, the Asia Square, and other food stalls located around the area.
You can also check out Mount Faber if you want to want to do a 10-kilometre walk before running. On the other hand, Fort Canning Park is also a good choice as it is rich in flora and fauna.
If you are staying in Singapore for more than three days, there are more national parks and food centres you can try. Check out Singapore's National Parks Board for more places to run and eat.
