Ringo Starr Zayn Malik: The Beatles Star Talks About Malik's Departure From One Direction, 'Directioners' Not Pleased About Malik's First Solo Release

Ringo Starr Zayn Malik - The former Beatles star, Ringo Starr, had quite a lot to say about Zayn Malik's departure from One Direction. Contrary to what Malik claims as wanting to be away from the fame, his solo career move proves otherwise. This of course has irked a few fans of One Direction.

"Directioners" had their hearts broken over the latest news, which of course involved Malik officially leaving One Direction. Malik released a statement claiming he never wanted to be famous in the first place and that the perils of fame have been getting to him.

Ironically, this proves to be confusing to his statement given Malik just recently released a single entitled, "I Don't Mind." The song was posted by Naughty Boy, who had worked closely with Malik in the studio. This big reveal was posted all on Twitter post that stated, "Let the music do the talking guys. Thank us later."

Of course, this has not bode well with "Directioners" who had thought Malik had left the group for his health. Five days after the announcement of leaving the group, Malik releases a single.

"im disappointed that zayn claimed to be leaving for his health & wanting to be a normal 22 year old, yet already has a demo for a solo song," reads one of the tweets.

As for Ringo Starr, Zayn Malik's departure for One Direction isn't going to affect his or the group's career. For one, Starr knows the perils of fame and clearly understands the pressure the boys are going through, having been in The Beatles.

"We were under a lot of pressure but compared to them, we were on holiday. But I think the pressure now is because you cannot move. Somebody is on the phone, they're photographing you and filming you and anything that happens and you've got that 30 mile radius here that are always outside everywhere. The pressure's more now," says Starr, adding, "I don't think it this will stop One Direction. They're just going in another direction. The right direction."
