In January 2012, Uniworld launched its first initiative in Asia, a ship called River Saigon. Due to the increasing popularity of Vietnam and Cambodia, it will now launch another new ship, River Orchid, in this region in 2013, Breaking Travel News reported.
These ships are handcrafted in French colonial style to offer their guests authentic type of cruising experience along the Mekong. The ships boast of only 30 staterooms and refuse to carry more than 60 guests, stressing on more personalized service.
"The demand for Vietnam and Cambodia has exceeded our expectations," Guy Young, president of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, was quoted in a press release. "We quickly sold out all of our departures in 2012, and so it made sense for us to add an additional ship along the Mekong."
There is good news for those planning to travel to China next year. They'll be treated to a five-star luxury experience onboard the new Century Legend or Century Paragon. The Century Paragon and Legend promises to offer Uniworld guests an unmatched level of comfort, extravagance and leisure on the Yangtze River.
The ships have other exciting features like an exclusive executive deck and a huge indoor pool. Onshore Uniworld guests can expect the same five-star luxury treatment. The guests would be accommodated in centrally located five-star hotels throughout Asia with all luxury specifications and great customer service.
"Uniworld wants to continue to offer our clients a well diversified portfolio of product offerings throughout the world, and we want to deliver to our guests the very best accommodations and amenities these regions have to offer," Young told reporters. "We have also included many exclusive VIP benefits that are only available to our guests."
As mentioned in a press release by the company, Uniworld offers all inclusive packages designed for travelers willing to explore Asia.
As an introductory offer, couples, booking and paying in full at the time of reservation by September 30, 2012, can save up to $1,200. Travel + Leisure recognize Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, as one of the world's best cruise lines.
Uniworld was also voted the "No. 1 River Cruise Line in the World" in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers" choice awards and its cabins and dining are also ranked among the top three in the world by Zagat Survey, with Uniworld being the only river cruise line named in the Zagat Survey amongst the best of the best in the cruise industry, according to a press release.
