Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015 - It has been a while since Dragon Ball fans have got their taste of the iconic anime series set for game consoles. Now, Dragon Ball has made its way into the new generation of consoles particularly for the PS4 and Xbox 360. So is the game worth trying out?
First off, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015 has been produced by Bandai Namco, which is more or less a loosely built role-playing game (RPG) with the fight mechanics built around the famed Budokai series. While a few old characters are in the game, the only new character around would be the player's hero of which he has to create.
What's the story behind Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015? The player has to fix a number of anomalies in time along with the Time Patrol and Trunks. Time Patrol is a group that heads back in time to fix outcomes of some of the memorable events in the series, which in the game have gone awry.
While the gameplay of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015 looks interesting at first, all it is about is taking the player to the iconic scenes in the series - basically the "greatest hits" of Dragon Ball. There are of course big fights to look forward to of which players had not normally fought in earlier versions of Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse has 12 master quests. There are also 55 parallel quests where the player can unlock more than 400 pieces of equipment and 200 skills. Don't hope for flying in Super Saiyan mode as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015 is a no fly zone. The player has to run around Toki-Toki, the futuristic location of the game.
While Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2015 game play isn't much for interest, the battle scenes and the fight system is one to get hooked on. Heavy.com has rated the game an 8.75 out of 10 so it certainly is something worth playing on both the PS4 and the Xbox 360.
