Floyd Mayweather next fight is everything fans would hope it would be. Finally, after years of battling out against each other on social media, Mayweather and Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao are set to fight in the ring. The battle is already set for May 2015. However, the latest reports suggest Mayweather was "shamed" into the deal.
On May 2 in Las Vegas, the biggest fight of the century is set to take place. Floyd Mayweather's next fight involves no other but Philippine boxing champ, Pacman. Who would take home the belt? A lot of boxing critics have their say and so do the boxers' respective fan following.
"Without Les Moonves," shares Top Rank CEO Bob Arum in a report by Independent, adding, "this fight wouldn't have had a prayer of happening. The real hero in getting this done is Les Moonves."
Yet, the latest reports on Floyd Mayweather's next fight claim that the US boxing champ didn't really agree on the deal wholeheartedly. Mayweather was allegedly "shamed" into the fight of the century. That is according to ESPN's Skip Bayless.
"Floyd Mayweather, Jr. finally quit running because he was shamed into taking this fight," says Bayless in the report by BreitBart. Bayless even added that Mayweather is "afraid of Manny Pacquiao."
Will Floyd Mayweather's next fight with Pacquiao be his last before finally retiring? Manny's camp seems to think so. Pacman's coach, Roach, claims Mayweather never took on the fight simply because he was fearful of losing out to Pacquiao. Now that a deal has finally been made, Mayweather backing out of the fight will only prove the he indeed is afraid of losing to Pacman in the ring.
Floyd Mayweather's next fight is scheduled on May 2015. For fans of both boxing champs, better save up on tickets as it sure is going to be a sold-out kind of night.
