Charli XCX Disses One Direction - The 22-year-old British singer, Charli XCX, reportedly dissed One Direction's music, calling it 'shi*t'!
Charli XCX disses One Direction in a recent interview with Q Magazine. However, reports say that the pop singer decide d to also called out 1D's boss, Simon Cowell, according to Hollywood Life.
Charli XCX criticized Simon Cowell's SYCO record label, which represents One Direction, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony as well as several other big celebrities, reports dailytwocents.com.
Though she praised the former "X Factor" judge, Charli XCX disses One Direction by claiming Cowell doesn't make good music.
"I think Simon Cowell's cool, I'd love to be in that position, but from the point of view of making music that's not sh*t," said Charli.
Hollywood Life describes this statement as a direct diss to the 1D group as Charli XCX has been in the music industry for years. She is aware that Simon and SYCO produces the music of 1D - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
Apparently, Charli XCX didn't just diss One Direction. The "Doing It" singer is also making comments on the pop industry as a whole. She even insisted that she doesn't want to make music that one can find on SYCO, according to j-14.
"I couldn't make any pop music because I hated pop music. I just didn't want to think about it I wanted to be free," Charli XCX revealed.
"It was a case of getting it out of my system. I felt stuck," she added.
Charli XCX disses One Direction by speaking ill of Cowell's record company. In the end though, she wrapped up her statements, by saying that for her next move, she would even start her own label just like Simon.
