Sports Illustrated cover this week features the one and only Hannah Davis. Who exactly is Hannah and what is all the talk about the cover being touted as the raciest to date? Well, here are five details to know about the Swimsuit Issue for the month of Feb.
1. The Sports Illustrated cover this week features Hannah Davis, who in a provocative pose is pulling her bikini bottoms dangerously low. According to Market Watch, a little bit lower and it could have been a feature for Penthouse rather than for Sports Illustrated. The cover was taken by Benn Watts in Tennessee's Blackberry Farm.
2. Sports Illustrated cover this week has received quite a number of rave reviews. However, this cover featuring Davis and her itty bitty bikini is nothing compared to the 1978 issue. The said cover featured Cheryl Tiegs wearing only a fishnet suit. This issue led to 3,000 complaints and a whopping 340 in subscription cancellations.
3. Jimmy Fallon was the first to reveal the Sports Illustrated cover this week. The cover was revealed Wednesday night on "The Tonight Show." As for Davis, the 24-year old model is sure to receive tons of endorsements and prospective magazine covers following the racy cover.
4. Davis wasn't all too sure about even nabbing the Sports Illustrated cover this week. Looks like the saying "Third Times the Charm" definitely suits Davis.
"I told my mom there was no way I'd get the cover," shares Davis, adding, "I told her 'They do beaches for covers and I'm on a farm. There's no way. It's not possible.'"
5. As for the racy Sports Illustrated cover this week that features Davis pulling her bikini bottoms way too low, other covers feature the exact same pose. In 2009, Bar Rafaeli did the same pose but with a different bikini.
