Based on movies such as iRobot, we were all wondering when robots would start taking over human jobs. Well the time is almost here, at Japan's Henn-na Hotel, or Strange Hotel in Nagasaki's theme park, Huis Ten Bosch.

The plans for the hotel include a complete robot staff that is anticipated to be human-like and able to have actual conversations with guests. The robots will be referred to as "actroids" and will be responsible for greeting guests, services, porters, and cleaning for the hotel. The president of Huis Ten Bosch, Hideo, Sawaya, revealed that he hopes for 90% of the property to eventually be run by robots and to build 1,000 more hotels like Henn-na Hotel all around the world.
The hotel opening has been split into two phases. The first phase will open on July 17th with 72 rooms. The second phase will offer an additional 72 rooms and be open in 2016. The hotel is predicted to be one of the most low-cost, futuristic, and efficient hotels in the world.
Other than robot receptionists, the hotel will also offer other high-tech amenities such as facial recognition for the hotel room doors, tablets in the room for guests to request any service, and a radiation panel to detect body heat and adjust the temperature accordingly. Also, the hotel will primarily run on solar power.
If you want to stay at this hotel during peak season, you will have to bid for it. The highest bidders will be the ones to reserve the rooms. But just to make sure the bidding does not get out of control, there will be a ceiling to the amount any person can bid.
The hotel is following the motto, "A commitment for evolution." If you are interested in reserving a room to stay at this ultramodern, space-age hotel, they are already taking reservations: https://www.huistenbosch.co.jp
