Bruce Jenner's mother, Esther, has come into terms with the fact that her Olympic gold medalist son will soon enough become her daughter. However, she was not afraid to admit that she was greatly shocked by Bruce's decision when she first found out about it.
"It was a shock. It's hard to wrap your mind around it." Esther told the Associated Press on Wednesday of her son's journey to becoming the opposite sex, USA Today has learned.
Bruce Jenner's mom also shared the time when her son confessed to her about his move to starts living as a woman.
"He said, 'I want to be honest about my identity and I know this is coming out in the press.' He started by saying, 'We need to have a long, serious talk," she said. "He said, 'Mom, I'm still the same person.' He said, 'I'm still going to race cars, I'm still going to fly airplanes and I'm going to get my helicopter license.'"
Esther then admitted that despite the shocking announcement from her son, she is still supportive of what he is about to become and that her love for Bruce will never change.
"I was proud of him and that I'll always love him," she said. "I am at peace with what he is and what he's doing."
Additionally, Gossip Cop has learned that Bruce's entire family is supportive of him, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe and Courtney.
"The family is close and very supportive of Bruce and we're supportive of each other," Esther noted. "I never thought I could be more proud of Bruce when he reached his [Olympic] goal in 1976, but I'm more proud of him now. It takes a lot of courage to do what he's doing."
On the contrary, it appears that Kris Jenner isn't pleased with what the father of her kids are going through.
TMZ reports that momager Kris almost flipped out after learning what was going to happen to the man she married for 22 years.
Insiders claim Kris never knew about Bruce's transition until recently because there is "a serious lack of communication in the marriage."
It can be noted that rumors on Bruce Jenner's sexuality surfaced back in December 2013 when he got a laryngeal shave, which is said to be the first procedure in the series of surgeries he is about to get to fully transition into a woman.
