Katy Perry is not afraid to name the person, who she thinks could pass as the perfect villain in the music industry. The Super Bowl 2015 halftime show performer sat down for an interview with Elle this week and her words are sure to create a major buzz in the days to come.
"You've got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone the mom-[type], the dad-type - you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we're all characters," Perry said when she was asked what roles would artists play if pop stardom were a soap opera, according to Gossip Cop.
"And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know," she added. Taylor [Swift's] the sweetheart. Kanye [West's] the villain. That's the narrative."
Russell Brand's ex-wife then gushed about Beyonce's confessional video where Queen Bey talks about her personal life and her career, reports People.
"Oh my God. I'm such a big Beyoncé fan. Beyoncé just put out a video! You've got to see this video!" Perry said. "I was like, Finallllly. Finally I see you. I don't see some propaganda version of you. I see you. I relate to who you are."
The 30-year-old "Dark Horse" hit maker continued to gush about her favourite artists and she admitted that she's a big fan of Adele, too.
"Adele is so real and couldn't care less about the trappings of fame. She came to a show at the Hammersmith Apollo in England and stole my after-show burrito," she explained. "She's like [heavy British accent], 'How the fuck did you get a burrito in England?'"
Finally, on her latest and biggest musical gig, the Super Bowl halftime show, Perry gushed that she's staying off the Internet for now, Us Weekly has learned.
"We love this opportunity, but once you decide you're gonna do the Super Bowl, you're gonna have no f*cking life for six months. It is the biggest thing. Anyone that's ever done it has been scared sh*tless. You stay off the Internet for the five days afterward," she said.
