Oscar Short Films 2015: Short Films Nominees Rundown

Some are unaware of the little films showcased at the Oscars via Oscar Short Films 2015. Most focus on the big and mainstream movie projects, leaving a little space of attention to these short films. Only few people get to see these flicks.

However, these shorts have something to deliver. At the end of the day, these are the ones that are practically appreciated by those who see them-because of the films' witty and hearty attack on telling stories. Oscar Short Films 2015 gives credit to the most outstanding small works in Hollywood's movie industry.

Oscar Short Films 2015 includes nominations for the Best Live Action Short. Nominees of this award are Oded Binnum and Mihal Brezis' "Aya," Michael Lennox's "Boogaloo and Graham," Wei Hu's "Butter Lamp," Talkhon Hamvazi's "Parvaneh," and "The Phone Call" which features Sally Hawkins as a crisis hotline operator. These films range from 14 minutes to 40 minutes.

"Feast": This is one of the most popular animated shorts as it was shown in theaters before playing "Big Hero 6." This talks about a life of a dog in relation to its owner.

"Me and My Moultan": This features a 2-D look that fits the taste of the younger audiences. It is narrated by the middle sister of three girls.

"The Bigger Picture": Another family-themed short which is created by Daisy Jacob.

"The Dam Keeper": Some say if "Feast" won't win, then this could be a reasonable winner. This film tells a pig-running-a-dam story.

These Oscar Short Films 2015 were viewed theatrically last January 30.
