It's real. Sam Smith and Howard Stern are not going to be in good terms in the following days, especially now that the "Stay With Me" crooner has learned about the shock jock's insults against him.
According to Us Weekly, Stern didn't seem to hold back when he dissed the 22-year-old British singer during his Sirius XM show.
Of course, in spite insulting Smith using all the not-so-pleasing modifiers he could give to the crooner, he also lauded him at some point. But it was obvious that Stern was throwing shade all throughout his talk about Smith.
In a nutshell, Stern insulted Smith for being "fat" and "ugly" and "effeminate" but he somehow made up for it by saying that he "loves" the idea that Sam Smith is like the "male Adele."
"You know what I like about the guy? He's an ugly motherf--ker. He's fat. Is he gay? He looks gay to me, not that anybody looks gay, but he does seem effeminate," Stern said during his show, Daily Mail reports.
Then, Stern continued to slam Smith's appearance before complimenting the Grammy winner.
"I like that he's chubby and gay. That's why I love him. He's one of those guys I feel like, he's really good but I feel like that will be his only hit song - beautiful voice," the radio host said.
"That's how good that song is. He's fat and he's gay and little girls worship him. That's when you know you have a good song and a good voice," he continued.
Finally, as though to attempting to make up for what he said, Stern invited Smith to his show before saying, "I'd like to get him in here to congratulate him on beating the odds," and adding that Smith could pass as the "male Adele," Beauty World News has learned.
Apparently, it didn't take long for Smith to learn about the slamming and dissing he got from the radio host.
On Twitter, the British singer announced that he already found out what Stern said about him when he tweeted: "Can't believe what I've just read."
Smith then added the word "Ignore," which is basically his response to Stern's invitation. Yikes!
