Omaha Shooting Last Night - What should have been just a usual Saturday night led to a gruesome shooting leaving three people dead and six people injured. Authorities have asked those present at the party to come forward and help with the investigation. Early reports claim that the shooting was gang related.
Two women namely Jakela Foster, aged 19, Latisha Fox, aged 24, died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds at the Omaha shooting last night. The third death was that of Cameron Harris, aged 26, who later died at the hospital. Six people were reported to have sustained injuries from the shooting.
The five victims who were wounded from the Omaha shooting last night have been identified as Treveon Lillard, Adrelet Bush, Jordyn Zyla, Johnny Tiller, and Trenelle Miller.
According to the latest reports, the Omaha shooting last night is gang-related. Four of the male victims who had sustained injuries were linked to gangs. More than 40 people were present at the party that went on until 2 in the morning before the shooting broke out.
"The violence that we're seeing here is the product of gang members that have no regard for human life," states Omaha Police Chief, Todd Schmaderer in a report by NBC News.
Witness present at the Omaha shooting last night however have failed to come out. In fear of their own life, 40 people present at the party have refused to cooperate with the police. Investigations regarding the shooting would go smoother if witnesses would come forward.
"Now that you are away from that scene and have opportunity to be away from any intimidation, I'm asking you for the sake of the community to contact law enforcement," adds Schmaderer.
The Omaha shooting last night was not the last reported act of violence. Within four and half hours, another shooting was reported in the same neighbourhood were 10 other people were shot.
