Kim Kardashian Accuses British Airways of Stealing Personal Items

The skies were not so friendly to reality TV star Kim Kardashian this Memorial Day Weekend.

The brunette bombshell, star of her family's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," is not too happy with British Airways. Over the weekend, she went on a Twitter rant, accusing British Airways of stealing her personal and sentimental items during a recent overseas trip.

Kardashian was traveling in the U.K. last week as part of a promotional tour for her new perfume "True Reflection." She then met up with her new boyfriend Kanye West in France as he was premiering his short film "Cruel Summer" at the Cannes Film Festival. The couple enjoyed posing together on the red carpet and showing a bit of PDA.

Her joy turned into upset as she returned home to Los Angeles, only to find that her luggage had been opened and several items were missing. She took to the social networking site Twitter to explain the issue.

"Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage 'n' taking some special items of mine!" Kardashian, 31, tweeted. "Some things are sentimental & not replaceable."

"What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There's no sense of security & no trust!" she continued to vent. "Shame on you."

She did not mention specifically what items had been removed from her bag.

A British Airways spokesperson said that they were looking into the matter.

British Airways' has a clause under their 'Conditions of Carriage' which claims that they are not liable for lost items.

It reads "We are not liable in any way whatever for damage to or loss of items which you include in your checked baggage although you are forbidden from including [items such as] fragile or perishable items, items with a special value, such as money, jewelry, precious metals, computers, personal electronic devices, share certificates, bonds and other valuable documents, business documents, or passports and other identification documents. In the event of any claim for damage, delay or loss, we may avail ourself of all defences of contributory negligence specified in the Convention."

Despite the upset, it didn't put a halt to Kardashian's Memorial Day plans. She later tweeted "Hi Atlantic City" from the gambling beach town in New Jersey. She also tweeted a photo of Kanye, saying "I miss him", showing that her stolen items weren't the only things she missed.
