Mandy Moore's husband (soon-to-be ex) Ryan Adams has poured his heart out during his musical appearance on "The Late Late Show" on Friday night.
According to E! News, Adams belted his Grammy-nominated ballad on the show while expressing strong emotions believed to be related to the heartbreak he is experiencing right now after it was announced that he and Moore have split.
Adams and Moore tied the knot five years ago, and their reps have confirmed the day of his musical guesting that they are unfortunately going separate ways.
The two have "mutually decided to end their marriage," their reps said adding that the breakup was absolutely "respectful" and "amicable."
"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage," their rep said in a statement. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."
In his appearance on "The Late Late Show," Adams sang his 2014 hit ballad "Gimme Something Good" and it also marked his appearance since news of his upcoming divorce from Moore broke.
But who wouldn't be emotional in singing such a ballad with lyrics such as "I can't talk / My mind is so blank / So I'm going for a walk / I've got nothing left" and "All my life been shaking / Wanting something / Holding everything I have like it was broken / Gimme something good?"
The soon-to-be ex-couple married in March 2009, exactly four weeks since they announced their engagement at the time, People reports.
When thy celebrated their fifth anniversary in March, the twosome appeared pretty happy.
Moore even took to social media that time to share news about their anniversary.
"Celebrating love w the greatest friends and family last night. Feeling incredibly grateful today," Moore wrote on her Instagram page.
Since they tied the knot, the recording artists collaborated on several songs, including 2011's "Empty Rooms," MTV has learned.
