Iggy Azalea Who? ‘Jeopardy’ Contestant Confuses ‘Fancy’ Rapper With Azealia Banks

Yikes! Iggy Azalea got dissed? Or not really. It was actually an honest mistake. So apparently, the "Fancy" hit maker's name was the answer to one of the questions in one recent episode of "Jeopardy." But it appears that not everyone knows the Australian rapper who is taking the world by a storm.

According to Daily Mail, the honest mistake happened when host Alex Trebek read the question: "This Australian hip-hopper used the pet name/street name system to come up with her rap name."

Of course, the contestants were eager to get ahead in the game, especially contestant Nicholas, who was up by $50,000.

When he answered: "Who is Azealia Banks?" Trebek was quick to respond "NO."

Of course it's not funny to confuse rapper's similar names (or similar-sounding for that matter), but what's interesting is that the two rappers have also been making a huge noise online since they have constantly been feuding on social media.

After the show, Nicholas Berube took to Twitter to publicly apologise to Banks for confusing her with Iggy Azalea, Billboard has learned.

"Hey @AZEALIABANKS - I'm the guy on Jeopardy who mixed you up with Iggy Azalea. I apologize. I actually think you're awesome," Berube wrote.

He then followed it up by explaining that he is fairly new to Twitter.

"Very new w twitter but I'm Nicholas from #jeopardy, and I wanted to apologize for mixing up Iggy and @AZEALIABANKS / messing up the internet," he tweeted.

He eventually added his explanation on why he knows Banks over Azalea.

"I mean nothing against Iggy Azalea, I just happen to actually know Banks' music, and I know they don't like each other," he explained. "I might be a dorky white dude, but I do know there's a difference btw Iggy and Azealea - had to correct the record!"

Anyhow, in case you are wondering why Azalea was the answer to the question. The rapper - born Amethyst Amelia Kelly - actually took the first part of her rap name from her childhood pet dog, which was named after Iggy Pop.

The latter part "Azalea" was then from a nearby street where she and her family still resides on.
