Sadly for the first two, Popcorn Time is now just as popular as they are. Thankfully for Netflix, the same could not be said for a global scale.
Netflix dwarfs both HBO and Popcorn Time in a global comparison, but the leading streaming company still refers to Popcorn Time's newly found popularity as "sobering."
Media services, such as Netflix and Spotify managed to become successful in their fields by making media content streaming much easier to do over piracy. However, now that Popcorn Time has entered the picture, many would soon realize that there is a way for them to easily pirate content over having to use Netflix.
