Supernatural fans could now rejoice since Season 10 is returning with episode 10 this week. Previously on Supernatural, we saw the ill effects of the Mark of Cain on Dean. Dean's bloodlust seemed too hard to conquer that he eventually exploded and carried out a massacre in a roomful of humans. Sam and Castiel were of course taken aback but they could't do anything to stop the slaughter. Elsewhere, Crowley was used by Rowena when the latter manipulated the former to release her from captivity. When the show returns this week, the Winchester siblings are going to deal with the consequences of the bloodbath. Show executive producer Jeremy Carver dished on the things that are about to happen when the show returns. "We're going to be asking some questions: 'Don't we all have a bit of darkness inside?' - particularly someone like Dean - and 'Do you embrace it? Control it? Learn to live with it?" he told TV Line. Then, Carver also gushed about what Sam is going to help his brother. "Sam is doing everything he can. That's going to mean a Sam who is really taking stock of the declarations he's made in the last couple of years. He came out pretty strongly [against the idea of] preserving their lives if it meant losing the life of others. It's like Dean is put to the test by the Mark. Sam's value system is put to the test by what is happening to Dean," he said. "Over the second half of the season, we're going to see these guys, along with Castiel, really [searching] for a solution here. That's going to mean pairing up with folks you might not think they'd pair up with and, frankly, taking some pretty strong risks on behalf of ridding Dean of this Mark." The official synopsis of Supernatural season 10 episode 10 reads: "THE AFTERMATH - After the massacre at the ranch, Dean, Sam and Castiel double their efforts to find a cure for the Mark of Cain but there is nothing in the lore that can help them. Desperate, Castiel comes up with an idea that Sam deems the 'single worst idea I've ever heard.' Meanwhile, Rowena continues to plot against Crowley, and Castiel tries to mend his relationship with Claire who is plotting revenge against Dean for killing her friend."
