George Clooney divorce rumors have sent the Internet abuzz. As the actor's response to the relentless gossip, he made it a point to thank his wife in public when he accepted his Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globe Awards that was held last weekend.
This A-list couple had only given their wedding vows last September, and they have been followed by George Clooney divorce rumors ever since. After the marriage problems started to circulate about himself and his British wife, Amal Alamuddin-Clooney, the "Descendants" actor has done his part to put them all to rest.
He lovingly looked at his beautiful wife and told the audience, "I've had a pretty good year myself."
Clooney said, "Listen. It's a humbling thing when you find someone to love, even better when you've been waiting your whole life. And, when your whole life is 53 years, Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn't be more proud to be your husband."
He even paid a small tribute to his wedding day, as he wore the same tuxedo he wore for his special day to the Golden Globes. He told Us Weekly while he was on the red carpet, "I'm wearing my wedding tux."
"Amal was looking at dresses last night still, trying to figure out what she was going to wear and I was watching the football game," Clooney revealed. "Two o'clock this afternoon, I was still watching football and she's - it's not fair to women, these awards shows."
His wife-centered act is proof that George Clooney divorce rumors hold no truth. Naughty Gossip recently claimed that Alamuddin was very jealous of Clooney's friendly relationships with other women, especially with his "Gravity" co-star, Sandra Bullock.
A source reportedly said that Bullock refers to Clooney as "the one that got away," while Clooney thinks that Bullock is "incredibly charming."
