Jamie Lynn Spears was grabbing a bite with a friend of hers at a Pita Pit branch in Hammond, Louisiana, when a brawl suddenly broke out. In a surveillance video that was obtained by TMZ, the "Baby One More Time" singer's younger sister was seen trying to keep the peace after rescuing her pal.
She was seen wearing a denim jacket, a tight mini skirt and a pair of trendy short black boots when she was obviously attempting to keep the fight from escalating. Fortunately for the youngster's fans, every bit of her heroic act was caught on video.
The 23-year-old mother of her six-year-old daughter, Maddie, was seen extracting her friend from the altercation and even went behind the counter to grab a seven-inch long kitchen knife. She wielded it around so she could break up the brawl.
Fortunately for everyone, her plan worked. Jamie Lynn Spears's heroism either did the job, or the guys had simply had enough fighting as the mayhem quickly subsided.
While she was waving her weapon at the brawlers, the eatery's employee, wearing a beanie, was simultaneously on the phone talking to the police.
The owner of the establishment, Jack Brighenti, spoke to E! News about what happened and he detailed the incident.
"The events that happened occurred after 2 a.m. this past Saturday night just before we closed," he revealed. "A group of males got into an altercation and, for some reason, Jamie Lynn Spears ran behind the counter and picked up a bread knife."
He then added, "Our management called the police immediately and, thankfully, nothing else happened. Our passion and focus is and always will be to serve the Hammond community healthy pitas!" Jamie Lynn Spears's next pita order will most likely be on the house after the heroic stunt that she just pulled.
