Worst Movie 2014 Nominations: ‘Transformers,’ ‘Left Behind,’ ‘Legend of Hercules,’ ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ & More!

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" is making a huge buzz yet again after leading the seven nominated films for the 35th Golden Raspberry Awards.

According to MyNewsLA, the latest "Transformers" flick is actually the one that is expected to emerge triumphant as 2014's worst film.

The Michael Bay-helmed film is seen to be the winner of the award for worst picture of the year, but that would only be possible if it outwits "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas," "The Legend of Hercules," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Left Behind" for the said recognition.

It appears that the big-budget blockbuster is getting a lot of attention from the award-giving body. Bay is also nominated as worst director, alongside Darren Doane ("Saving Christmas"), Reeny Harlin ("Legend of Hercules"), Seth McFarlane ("A Million Ways to Die in the West") and Jonathan Liebesman ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles").

"Transformers" is also battling for the worst screenplay award alongside "Sex Tape," "Saving Christmas," "Left Behind" and "Ninja Turtles," Daily Mail has learned.

Then, the Mark Wahlberg-starrer is also up for the worst remake category, along with "Annie" "Ninja Turtles" and 'Atlas Shrugged."

Nicola Peltz has been nominated for worst supporting actress for the robotic film and she is going head-to-head with Cameron Diaz for "Annie," Susan Sarandon for "Tammy," Megan Fox for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and Brigitte Ridenour for "Saving Christmas."

The Golden Raspberry Awards is known as the awards-show spook that recognizes the worst movies projects for the previous year.

This year, the Razzies has included a new category called the Razzie Redeemer Award, which basically acknowledges previous Razzie winners who have stepped up their game by involving in far better projects.

Island Packet reports that the nominees for this new category are: Ben Affleck for "Gone Girl," Jennifer Aniston for "Cake," Mike Myeres for "Supermensch," Keanu Reeves for "John Wick and Kristen Stewart for "Camp X-Ray."

Online voting for the winners of the 35th annual Razzles award are still on-going and only the 757 members of the organization are entitled of voting.

The winners will be announced at Hollywood's Montalbano Theatre on Feb. 21, which is apparently the night before the 87th annual Academy Awards.
