Underwear Bomber Video: Link Between Paris Gunman And Underwear Bomber Investigated, Paris Gunman Reportedly Knew Bomber [VIDEO]

Underwear Bomber Video - The latest in the ongoing investigation in the Paris attack on Charlie Hebdo that has left 12 dead include an underwear bomber. Reports state that the Paris gunman knew the bomber, who had attempted to blow up the Northwest Airlines flight five years ago.

Who would have thought that the Paris gunman would have close ties to the underwear bomber in video? Both were reportedly trained by the terrorist group in Yemen. Local officials claim in reports that that both Paris gunmen, Cherif and Said Kouachi, were enrolled at the language school in Sanaa.

Other pupils enrolled at the school include the famed underwear bomber in video, Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. He had been arrested after his failed attempt of bombing the Northwest Airlines five years past. Abdulmutallab tried to sneak in explosives hidden in his underwear and had planned to detonate them on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.

Additional reports by French television channel, BFMTV, before he had been shot dead by police, Cherif Kouachi claims their attack on Charlie Hebdo was commissioned by the al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

"I went there, and it was Anwar al-Awlaki who financed me," said Kouachi minutes before dying.

As for the link between the Paris gunman and the underwear bomber in video, their education at the Yemeni school seems to be their only link. A report by Globe and the Mail, where one journalist named Mohammed al-Kibsi, adds that Kouachi definitely knew Abdulmutallab.

"Surprisingly, he said that yes he knew him, and that he lived with him in the same residence. [Abdulmutallab] had left three or four months before we met Said," shares al-Kibsi.

An ongoing investigation of the link between the underwear bomber in video to the Paris gunman continues. French officials believe both men had been trained in Yemen in the year 2011.
