Charlie Hebdo victims of massacre in Paris continue to gain support from a number of celebrities. From George and Amal Clooney to Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, here are a few stars who showed support during the Golden Globes 2015.
Days after the terrorist attack on satirical French paper, Charlie Hebdo, the support continues to pour in for twelve of the victims who died in the attack. Aside from other cartoonists and shows like "The Simpsons" paying tribute to the show, celebrities too have shown their support.
George Clooney and his wife, Amal Alamuddin, recently graced the red carpet of the recently concluded Golden Globes 2015. Noticeable on George's suit was a button pin with the words: "Je Suis Charlie." In his speech after accepting the award for Cecil B. DeMille, George also dedicated his speech to Charlie Hebdo.
"Today was an extraordinary day. They were Christians, and Jews and Muslims, they were world leaders, and they weren't marching in protest, but in support of the idea that we will not walk in fear. We won't do it," says George, closing the speech with, "Je suis Charlie."
His wife, Amal, also paid a tribute to Charlie Hebdo in her Dior outfit, which was reportedly "customized in solidarity with the French people who've gone through a terrible week," says Elle magazine.
Other stars at the Golden Globes 2015 who showed support for Charlie Hebdo include Alexandre Desplat, Helen Mirren, Diane Kruger, and Joshua Jackson who held up "Je Suis Charlie" signs. Kathy Bates of "American Horror Story" had the "Je Suis Charlie" sign customized as her phone case.
Another celebrity who addressed the attacks on Charlie Hebdo was Jared Leto. Before presenting the award for Best Supporting Actress to Patricia Arquette, Leto made a quick reference stating: "To our brothers, sisters, friends and families in France, our thoughts, our prayers, our hearts are with you tonight. On vous aime. Je suis Charlie."
