United States Issues Worldwide Travel Alert: Recent Terror Attacks In Paris And Hostage Taking In Sydney

United States issues worldwide travel alert following the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and Sydney. This alert comes after the announcement that French police have once again managed to track down and kill three of the hostage takers involved in the attack on Charlie Hebdo.

In the hopes of increasing security and lowering the rates of terrorist attacks, the United States issues worldwide travel alert. The warning from the State Department says that Americans have become prevalent through the years. It also mentions the increased risk in reprisals against Western targets and the US.

The announcement wherein the United States issues worldwide travel alert comes a few hours after French authorities managed to zero in on three hostage takers involved in Wednesday's attack. Three of the hostage takers were said to be involved in the massacre of 12 people at Charlie Hebdo.

Charlie Hebdo is a known satirical magazine in Paris. In relation to the Charlie Hebdo massacre, a German paper had been subject to arson over the weekend. Reports state that the building of the said paper, which had printed cartoons by Charlie Hebdo, was set on fire by unknown individuals.

Apart from the Paris attacks, the announcement of the United States issuing worldwide travel alert is also linked to the hostage standoff last month in Sydney. Another incident recorded in Oct. where a soldier had died in Canada's parliament prompted the alert.

While the United States issues worldwide travel alert, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazaneuve warns terrorists that their "Terror Cells" have been activated. This law allows French law enforcement officers to carry weapons at all times.

"The nation is relieved tonight," CNN reports. Even with the three deaths of those involved in the Charlie Hebdo attacks, the French government is not yet done. With France's terror cells and the United States issuing worldwide travel alert against terrorist attacks, hopefully the deaths of innocent people will come to an end.
