Conchita Wurst Eurovision 2014 Winner Makes Red Carpet Statement At Golden Globes 2015

Conchita Wurst Eurovision - The bearded lady was definitely a show stopper at the Golden Globes 2015 red carpet. Conchita Wurst, the winner of 2014 Eurovision won the best dressed bearded lady title at the red carpet. The Austrian icon for the LGBT certainly made a statement.

Last year, Conchita Wurst Eurovision won a number of hearts after taking home the prestigious title at the Eurovision Song Contest. The said contest is held every year since it was founded post-World War II. While Wurst's gender performance televised on the show had received flak from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Wurst continues to be an icon for the LGBT community.

Despite being relatively unknown in the United States, Conchita Wurst of Eurovision made her presence felt at the Golden Globes 2015 red carpet. Donning her famous beard, Conchita posed in a silk long green dress showing off a bit of skin.

This is not the first time Conchita Wurst Eurovision has been noted for her fashionable attire. Wurst has already been photographed by the legendary Karl Lagerfeld for CR Magazine. In the magazine, Wurst was dressed only in lingerie.

Another fashion project was for Jean Paul Gaultier's autumn and winter couture show of which Wurst was part of. When it comes to her look, Conchita Wurst of Eurovision talked about it to Frontiers magazine early in the week.

"As a bearded lady, I learned years ago that this affects people more than I thought, and I realized I could say something with this persona," shares Wurst, adding, "So just live your life as you want it, and if you're not hurting anyone, just embrace it."

A bit of a background on Conchita Wurst Eurovision for those who have only heard of her now: She is the alter ego of Tom Neuwirth, a 26 year old from Austria. Neuwirth chose the name Wurst for its double meaning "it's all the same" in German and "sausage."
