German Paper Arson: Attack On Paper That Printed Charlie Hebdo Cartoons

German Paper Arson - The war continues after the attack on Paris. An arson attack against a German paper was reported. The said German paper had been printing Charlie Hebdo cartoons, thus the attack.

The German paper arson was reported to have occurred overnight. RT Question More says the incident happened at approximately 2 in the morning. Rocks were first thrown into the building of the "Hamburger Morgenpost" before incendiary devices were thrown in.

"Rocks and then a burning object were thrown through the window," says a police officer in a report by Yahoo! adding, "Two rooms on lower floors were damaged but the fire was put out quickly."

There were no people inside the buildings when the German paper arson attack happened. The newspaper confirmed the attack on their Twitter. With regards to the damages done, files from the archive room were burned.

"It's true: Tonight there was an arson attack on our newspaper," says the German newspaper on Twitter.

According to investigations, the German paper arson attack happened at the courtyard side of the building. Arrests have already been made but a full investigation is to be launched. Hamburger Morgenpost was mainly attacked due to the fact that the newspaper reprinted cartoons created by Charlie Hebdo magazine.

Hamburger Morgenpost has a circulation of more than 90,000. Regular updates about the Paris attack on its website. By Sunday, the paper removed references to Charlie Hebdo but claimed the attack on their paper was "cowardly." The paper's editor in chief remains shocked over the incident.

Charlie Hebdo writers and cartoonists were killed in Paris last Jan. 7 before the Germany paper arson. Another arrest has been made by German police about a said supported of the Islamic State (IS). It has yet to be confirmed whether the man is connected to the Paris attack or the Germany paper arson.
