A couple of fourth graders want their teacher dead, but before they could even carry out their plan authorities found out about it, saving them some from some really serious punishment in the long run.
According to Huffington Post, three fourth-grade students in Elba Elementary School in New York conspired to kill their teacher.
The girls had reportedly planned to kill their teacher using their knowledge that she is allergic to hand sanitizer.
Hence, they devised a way to strategically place hand sanitiser on all the items their teacher would usually touch.
Fortunately, their plan backfired after they spread the word to the other kids at school that they are to kill their teacher before winter break, New York Daily News has learned.
The controversial story took place mid-December but it wasn't until this week that Genesee County Sheriff's office decided to close the case since no crime was committed.
Authorities said that when they interviewed the three fourth graders, one of them said that their teacher usually yells at them and that "the class has problems with her."
The nine-year-old fourth graders will not be facing charges per police's statements, but two of them have already been suspended by the school, reports RT.
"The District does not condone any of the behaviors that have been reported and is in the process of working alongside the Sheriff's Department to use this incident as a vehicle for educating the District's students regarding appropriate behaviors," Elba Superintendent Jerome Piwko said in a statement.
In a released statement, the Elba School District said the event was a "shock to the community, and noted they "cannot comment on the specifics of this event."
They also insisted in the statement that "the reports in the media and on social media so not accurately reflect the entire event."
The identities of the teachers and the of the suspect students have not been released.
