Boa Constrictor Toilet? Woman’s Worst Nightmare Came True After Using Plunger In Office Toilet

Boa constrictor in toilet? To see is to believe. And that's what happened to Holly Wells when she was hesitant to believe her colleague Stephanie Lacsa's claim that a snake came out of their office toilet on Tuesday.

According to NBC San Diego, Wells was alerted by Lacsa that a boa constrictor was apparently slithering on their toilet floor. However, the former had a hard time believing the latter at first.

"She said, 'It's the size of my forearm,'" Wells said on what Lacsa told her that moment. "and I was like, 'No, it's the probably the size of a pencil.'"

But when Wells joined Lacsa in checking out their downtown office's bathroom, she was shocked to see a large snake on the floor.

"Business was done after that. It took an hour and a half for animal control to get out," said Wells. "We were stuck in our office with our feet up on the desk."

Earlier, Lacsa was reportedly curious over the abnormally high level of water in the toilet so she tried to clear it with the use of a plunger. Little did she know that the plunger would pull up a boa constrictor out of the toilet, reports Los Angeles Times.

"I thought my eyes were deceiving me," Lacsa told reporters. "But as soon I saw the flicker of its tongue, I definitely knew that it was in fact a large snake heading straight towards me."

The county animal services officer said that the snake may have been stuck in the pipes for a couple of days since it was underweight at 5 pounds and was already in the process of shedding its skin.

The boa constrictor has since been taken to the Gaines Street animal care facility for examination.

"This is every person's worst nightmare," Lacsa said of the incident.

Meanwhile, if no one is going to claim the Colombian rainbow boa, it will be turned over to a group for abandoned reptiles, CBS News has learned.
