Archer Season 6 (SPOILERS) Show Creators Tease Cameos, Animated Movie & More! (VIDEO)

"Archer" is set to return this Thursday on FX and as early as now show fans are anticipating what's the latest changes in the animated spy series.

Well, according to New York Daily News, since Sterling Archer had a lot of fun in Season 5, things might not be the same in the show's sixth run. That is of course the biggest understatement of the century since Archer is dropping the goody-good boy that he was last season.

"We'll be going back to what we do best - having Archer out there as a spy, being a good guy and a bad guy, killing people," co-creator Matt Thompson dished on what's to come for the titular character.

"To me, the show works best when all the characters are just bitching at each other," Thompson added. "In one scene this year, they're all trapped in an elevator, and that's what they do. They just bitch at each other."

Interestingly, the all-new season is more than just the tweaks on Sterling's exploits. Creator-writer Adam Reed recently said that avid viewers should watch to for cool cameos.

"We have Matthew Rhys from The Americans as a Welsh separatist," Reed told The Daily Beast. "Justin Edwards is also in that episode. We have Keith David and CCH Pounder playing Lana's parents-the two tallest actors ever playing Lana's parents."

"Archer and Lana go back to Berkeley where Lana's parents are very well-known professors and scientists, and Lana's been lying to them this whole time because they think she's been working on her PHD in environmental science. Hijinks ensue," he explained.

Now when asked on how it felt like when they dropped the spy agency ISIS last year because of the real-world associations it now holds, Thompson said, "We were just hoping we'd never have to comment on the ISIS thing. It's a terrible, awful, awful, f---ing horrendous situation. But finally we decided we'd just have to change."

Another thing, though last year's "Archer Vice" undeniably shook up the show's format, Reed assured fans that the spy series is now getting back to basics and will instead focus more on case-of-the-week stories, reports AVClub.

Finally, when asked whether or not there is a big chance that a big-screen adaptation of the series is about to happen, Reed revealed, "There have been discussions-though I'm not sure how serious they've been. From the Floyd County side (our animation studio) we are more excited about the possibility of an animated movie, so we keep bugging FX about that."
