'American Idol' Auditions Begin: Early Stars On The Rise [VIDEOS]

"American Idol" auditions have already begun, which means there are a few early favorites set to rule the show. This year's auditions bring in a lot of high to low notes, plus a few stray notes in the mix. Here's the latest on the auditions for the reality singing competition.

Jennifer Lopez and company dropped in a number of cities with talents that were quite promising. From Nashville to Portland, the "American Idol" auditions have scouted far and wide. Some of those who made it to the auditions have already started on their publicity.

One from Portland who made it to the "American Idol" auditions named Conor Tubbs, has already been featured on the Portland Press Herald. Tubbs' audition is set to air the evening on Thursday. Given he'll be hosting a viewing party for the said episode at the Styxx nightclub, it's only natural to assume that he got the golden ticket.

"There are so many talented people. I know that I just happen to be on this show, and it does not mean I'm any better than anyone else" shares Tubbs.

The "American Idol" auditions will fill out much of the month's schedule. As for Feb, hundreds more will be seen on the show's auditions. People from all over America are trying to make it into the top 48 spots in the Hollywood reality show. By then, the pool will be condensed to only 24.

After the "American Idol" auditions from 48 to 24, this number will then decrease even more following the weekly performances, elimination, and the finals. This would probably all end by March at the soonest.

Apart from Portland's Tubbs, other performers who made it to the "American Idol" auditions include an UConn student, Jack Dunn, ad Trevor Douglas. Check out Tubb's, Dunn's, and Douglas' performances below.
