"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice has now entered prison to serve her 15-month sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.
According to National Monitor, Giudice was finally dropped off at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut Monday morning.
She even asked her lawyer to tell her family that she's going to be ok behind bars.
The TV personality's lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., also revealed that before Giudice headed to the institution, she first stopped by at a local Connecticut diner for her last pre-prison meal.
"She said she was hungry, so we went to a diner down the road," the lawyer said. "It was Elmer's Diner in Danbury, about a mile away from the prison."
Following which, Teresa arrived in Danbury approximately an hour and 15 minutes prior to her check in time, reports Us Weekly.
"She was very stoic," Leonard said of his client. "Whatever emotions she needed to get out, she did it prior. She had her game face on - she was ready to go."
TMZ has learned that while Teresa Giudice was at Elmer's Diner, she spent a couple of minutes talking to her friends via phone, saying their farewell to each other.
In 2013, Teresa and Joe Giudice were initially indicted for hiding their wealth and for failing to be "transparent" in providing the U.S. District Court the official list of their assets and specific financial information.
Officials are allowing Teresa's children to visit her this weekend and Leonard says that "they will 100 percent come see her."
"I think she wants to see them whenever she can. Her kids aren't just the No. 1 [priority] in her life. They are the only one," Leonard added.
Once Teresa Giudice is done serving her sentence, Joe is set to serve his 41-month sentence in prison.
