"The Good Wife" Season 6 returned with an episode that didn't really center on the titular good wife last night. Instead, show fans witnessed the tricky solution to Cary's problematic storyline, which may spell a more frightening problem for Kalinda.
After its midseason hiatus, CBS' most talked-about show is back with another twist that hopefully helped fans see clearer what Kalinda is capable of doing. She is the heroine of the episode and she may have done what's best to spare Cary from years of being incarcerated, but things will surely not look that great once a more serious issue surfaces.
When the show returned last night, viewers saw Alicia being too preoccupied with debating as part of her preparation for the State's Attorney debate, TV Line has learned.
However, it appears that the writers of the "The Good Wife" may have missed the idea of involving Alicia into Cary's ordeal, or at least make her a little concerned over her partner's trial.
Anyhow, it's good that Diane and Kalinda were there to see to it that Cary will not be sent off to prison. Before the show took a break for the winter season, fans saw Cary pleading guilty to charges that didn't really make sense.
Now Kalinda is more determined to save Cary and even secure his protection inside prison. Fortunately, prayers do work and Kalinda found a loophole on the evidence that may have implicated Cary. She learned that the drugs Cary was accused of being part of were actually in the States before he was even asked for some advice on them. Kalinda even went as far as doctoring documents just to divert the blame to the police who purposefully hid evidence just to frame up Cary.
Diane managed to retrieve the fabricated evidence on time and present it to the prosecutor. Hence, Kalinda broke the law just to spare Cary some more drama behind bars. But she certainly knows that she's already in deep s#*t. Yikes!
Finally, though viewers pretty much didn't get their usual dose of Alicia's storyline, the surprise kiss between her and Johnny suggests that something big is about to happen in the upcoming "The Good Wife" episodes. That's apart from the State's Attorney storyline of course.
