Elvis Presley jet airplane could reach up to more than $10 million in sales. The news of the sale of Lisa Marie and Hound Dog II of course has caused Elvis fans to be enraged. Protests against the sales have already begun.
Lisa Marie and Hound Dog II will be leaving the building. Elvis Presley jet airplane will be sold for more than $15 million dollars in a sealed-bid auction at the Beverly Hills auction house. Both planes are no longer capable of flight and have long been on display at the Presley Memphis estate since the year 1984.
Of course, the sales of Elvis Presley jet airplane has been met by protests. KG Coker, an Elvis fan and boss of OKC has protested against the sales. For him, the planes are part of Elvis' legacy and should remain in Graceland.
"There's a real connection between fans and those airplanes. Those airplanes are part of the Elvis experience," shares Coker in a report by the Independent.
Well, protests by Coker or other Elvis fans for that matter won't really hinder the auction for Elvis Presley jet airplane. The planes for one won't remain in their original state as Darren Julien claim they would be dissembled before being shipped all over the world.
"I can see them going somewhere like China. In the right location they're going to be a major attraction that will draw millions of people to see them," added Julien.
For those who have yet to hear about Elvis Presley jet airplane, both planes were bought in the year 1975. Elvis had spent much of his wealth refurbishing and refitting both planes to include a bathroom, a master suite, and a conference room. The Lisa Marie had a bathroom featuring gold taps. Additional refurbishments was being done on Lisa Marie when the Hound Dog II was purchased.
